You never go back to regular manicures!
For those of you who have not heard of shellac, it is a nail polish that lasts 14-18 days without chipping, breaking, or smudging! And to me the best part is the quick dry time! No more ruined mani's from thinking they are dry and looking down and noticing they are jacked up from putting your seat belt on. Happened to me all the time.
I have been shellac-ing for over a year now and I LOVE IT! My nails are in the best shape ever! My manicurist gave me some great news last time I saw her....
She is getting the new line of OPI Gel...
I am stoked because she will now have my three fave colors of all time--Strawberry Margarita, Lincoln Park After Dark, and Russian Navy!!!
Warning: If you have not tried shellac make sure you go to a salon that works with it often and is knowledgeable about the application. I went to a place (in a strip mall..sigh) that did not apply it properly (they used the knock off shellac) and it only lasted 4 days. The girl I go to is fabulous and only charges $25. If you are in the Charleston area..email me and I will give you her info!

ReplyDeleteI've done the CND and did love it. But 2 weeks was pushing it, plus I like changing my colors too often
ReplyDeleteStrawberry Margarita (in the summer) and I'm not really a waitress(for Christmastime!) are two of my faves!!!!! I just heard a salon nearby started carrying these too... I'm gonna get me some I'm not really a waitress when I'm out of school on Christmas break! (can't wear red in the hospitals - boo)
ReplyDeleteI just bought a Groupon for a Shellac mani/pedi. Can't wait to give it a try - half the time I get a mani, I refuse any polish because I can't stand chipped nails - nice to know there is an alternative!
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing about this...I must try it, I think!
