A few weeks ago my sister and her family moved into my Gigi's old house. I could not be happier for them that they are able to have such a nice home and that we are able to keep it in our family!! My grandparents bought this house when my mom was 17 so we all have many fond memories at this house.
Along with a great house...my sister inherited a few pieces of furniture that she was not sure would work with the furniture she had. In the den she paired Gigi's old navy blue recliners with her green couch. We wondered what would tie it all in to make it a warm family room with a fresh feel...
The perfect rug, of course!! I found this rug for her at Marshalls (for a killer price!) that had the perfect mix of green and navy!
The room is not quite complete. She wants two storage ottomans to put on either side of the armoire for Coleman's toys and more seating. Pardon the mismatched pillows on the couch. We have not gotten to the pillows yet. I am obsessed with chevron print right now so I am thinking this fabric for pillows on the couch....

A few lamps! I love the clear base on these! Some lamps can look so heavy and I like how these are good sized lamps but will still keep the room feeling bright and spacious!
I saw this canvas wall on Pinterest and think (after baby girls arrival!) this would look super cute with pics of her kids and an inspirational quote above her couch! Love this idea!!
Love the fabrics you chose to tie it all together. It's going to look amazing! I'm dying at those canvas prints. I want to have some made of S's pictures for his room.
